In modern society, raincoats made of plastic film or treated rainproof cloth are often used. This type of raincoat has the advantages of easy production, lightness and softness, variety of designs and colors, and low price. There are many kinds of common raincoat fabrics in life, such as nylon Oxford fabric, coated fabric, polyester fabric, PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), Gore-Tex fabric, etc., but for outdoor sportsmen, the raincoat fabric must be comfortable and breathability.
Adhesive cloth: The rubber of the raincoat is attached to the cotton cloth, which is soft, thick, and relatively strong.
Rainproof cloth: Two clothes, good waterproof performance, but relatively thin and brittle.
Plastic: Raincoats are easy to carry, have good water resistance, and are cheap, but their service life is not long.
Oxford cloth: cotton or polyester fabric obtained through a specific weaving method, easy to wash, quick-drying, soft to the touch, good hygroscopicity, soft fabric color, soft body, good air permeability, comfortable to wear, and two-color effect.
Coated fabric: The inner surface of the fabric is coated with a layer of waterproof and moisture-permeable coating, such as the raincoat commonly used by policemen and climbers. The waterproof and breathable effect is better, but the price is high.
Polyester fabric: The biggest advantage of the fabric is that it has good wrinkle resistance and shape retention, but it has poor dyeability and poor moisture absorption, and air permeability.
PTFF (polytetrafluoroethylene): light and comfortable to wear, good waterproof and breathable performance, and cheap. It is first used in the production of military uniforms and protective clothing and then used in sportswear. The manufacture of tents and other items is also an excellent material for biochemical protective clothing.
Nylon: The product has good luster, strength, and wear resistance, but it is easily deformed under the action of external force, so its fabric is prone to wrinkles during wearing.
Gore-Tex: Wind, rain, comfort, breathability, a composite of membrane and performance textiles, sealed with a new adhesive for long-lasting waterproof protection.
